In the year of 1917, Congress attempted to pass the 18th Amendment, which involved the banning of creation, mobilization, and selling of any kind of liquor. Despite the fact that Congress had establishing grounding of a seven year limit for the Amendment’s overall process to be met, the 18th Amendment reached its goal by receiving support from 3/4 of U.S. states within 11 months.
